This page displays dropsonde plots and flight track overviews from aircraft reconnaissance missions and dropsonde availability for the GFS model.
Green drops drops were assimilated into the GFS
Blue drops reached WCOSS, but were not assimilated into the GFS - could be due to obs proc not yet running, or another reason
Yellow drops were assimilated, but TEMP DROP message data is different from bufr data, even if difference is minor and insignificant
The plotted/available count shows the number of drops plotted out of the number of messages parsed. These will normally be the same, but a shortage of drops may indicate an error with message processing or an error with the message itself.
