The High Performance Computing Division (HPCD) manages the NWS supercomputing intrastructure
contract, orchestrates support, integration and testing of all modeling system upgrades, and
coordinates the primary data intake and public output for the NWS HPC environments.
Senior Production Analysts - Provides Tier 2 operational support for the Weather and Climate
Operational Supercomputing System (WCOSS) production numerical weather predication suite. This team
executes all modeling system upgrades, ensuring rigorous quality control, and integration testing
before production implementation.
HPC Dataflow - This team manages the real-time data ingest and egress pipelines, while operating
the National Operational Model Archive and Distribution System (NOMADS) to facilitate public access to
real-time model data.
