As the information technology center for the National Weather Service, NCO executes and manages upgrades to the NWS model production suite, enterprise applications, and network services for the entire NWS, and provides 24x7 monitoring and customer support.

MDS STATUS...
GOES-E MDS Sector 1 will be centered over 40.3N/74.7W from
14/1200Z to 15/1200Z in support of National IDSS/SEAR Events and
SPC Slight Risk severe wx ops across the Northeast and
Mid-Atlantic.

GOES-E MDS Sector 2 will be centered over 37.4N/86.6W from
14/1200Z to 15/1200Z in support of SPC Slight Risk severe wx ops
across the central/southern Appalachians.

GOES-W MDS Sector 1 will continue to be centered over 37N/109W
until 15/0600Z in support of of a radar outage at KICX with dry
thunderstorms expected again Sunday afternoon across the Four
Corners region.
