Critical Weather Day Has Been Declared


Critical Weather Day has been extended to account for TS Erika's possible impact on the southeast U.S. coast.

TYPE: Regional

WHO: NCEP, NWSTG, NCF, Southern Region (from 8/26/03Z-9/02/00Z) and Western Region (from 8/27/12Z-8/31/00Z).

REASONS: 1- Impacts on Puerto Rico and southeast U.S. coast from TS Erika. 2- Support fireweather ops given the significant number of fires in the west.
