Here is a short list of steps to compile WRF and WPS.
Please compile WRF before WPS

Compile WRFV3.4.1:
rap.v2/sorc/rap_wrf.fd/WRFV3.4.1
1) clean -a
2) configure radardfi
3) Select '15' and then select '1' to get configure.wrf
4) compile em_real >& inf
5) compile em_real >& inf2      (note: don't clean, run compile twice)
6) check: cd main : should see: rap_wrfarw and rap_real
7) move these two executales to the exec area

compile WPSV3.4.1
rap.v2/sorc/rap_wrf.fd/WPSV3.4.1

1) configure
2) select '19'
Please change the configure.wps line 34 to:
        WRF_DIR                 =       ../WRFV3.4.1
3) compile
4) check: should see: rap_geogrid, rap_ungrib, rap_metgrid
  a)  note that rap_geogrid isn't actually used anywhere within
       the model, so it does not have to be copied to /nwprod/exec
       It is used by model users to construct a fix file.
